GHD used this low rez sat image for vegetation mapping.

1966 - 2011 Lot8 dune vegetation

Note the large areas of bare sand back in 1966. The recent photo from a similar vantage point shows extensive natural vegetation has occurred despite the decline in rainfall over the past 50 years.
